Coverage Estimator
Enter the AP radio settings and the partitions between AP and client. The estimator returns the usable path-loss budget and an estimated cell radius under an indoor propagation model.

- Predicted RSSI at 10m

Treat this as an upper bound. Uplink is usually the real limit — the client transmits with less power than the AP. Metal structures, water pipes and crowd density all reduce the figure further.
Model and assumptions
P_rx = P_tx + G_tx − L_cable − PL(d) − Σ 隔断损耗
PL(d) = FSPL(1m) + 10 · n · log₁₀(d)
FSPL(d) = 20·log₁₀(d) + 20·log₁₀(f_MHz) − 27.55
Partition losses are mid-values of the 2.4GHz empirical ranges; losses at 5GHz are typically higher, so results at 5GHz are optimistic.
Environment exponent n: 2.0 open space, 2.8 light-partition office, 3.0 corridor, 3.5 heavy partitions. Measured site data always takes precedence over any model.
PoE Power Budget
Add the models and quantities you plan to power, and check the total against your switch PoE budget. Per-model power draw comes from the product datasheets.

Always compare this figure with the rated PoE output of the switch, not its port count. Cable length also matters: PoE over Cat5e is limited to 100m, and voltage drop reduces the power reaching distant APs.
